Florida Agriculture in the Classroom, Inc.’s 2009 State Teacher and Volunteer Workshop “Catching the Wave of Florida Agriculture Education” is scheduled for June 18-20 at the Daytona Beach Resort & Spa. TeachersFlorida Teachers Invited to Apply for Grant Money
General education teachers in Florida who teach pre-kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to apply for Florida Agriculture in the Classroom’s 2009-10 Teacher Grant program. Eligible projects must teach students about the importance of Florida agriculture. Please see the attached guidelines and application for more information. The deadline for applications is Oct, 1, 2009.

    Florida Agriculture in the Classroom offers a new online workshop to teachers and others who would like to educate Florida teachers and students about the importance of the Florida agriculture industry. It’s packed with great lessons from its core curricula “Project Food, Land and People” and “Keeping Florida Green” and activities from its other materials that can be used in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms and other settings involving people who wish to learn more about Florida agriculture.
